About the Students

In addition to learning about the music and how to play it, all of the Cherem students come away with greater self-esteem, a higher level of self-confidence and better grades in their regular school work. This results from the self-discipline associated with practicing the piano on a regular basis and the pleasure and reward of knowing that they have accomplished something special.

Several Cherem students have been accepted to the Faculty of Music at University of Toronto, Queens University, Windsor University and Concordia University in Montreal.

Kiwanis, Scarborough and other competitions - a large number of Cherem students have been winners.

Royal Conservatory of Music examinations (RCM exams) - all Cherem students pass with Honours, and over half with First Class Honours.

Many Cherem students have been admitted to the Claude Watson School for the Arts.

Mrs. Cherem's students universally respond to the personal care and attention they receive from her, and without exception they develop a bond with her based on mutual trust and respect.
